Students were instructed to write a letter of persuasion to the our Principal, Mrs. Deschaine. They had to state their position in support of school uniforms or not and back up their opinion based on our our Core Democratic Values.
Dear Mrs. Deschaine,
I really feel that we do not have to wear uniforms. Some people already have new clothes and we can’t keep on buying clothes and parents can’t afford it. Most of our class doesn’t want to have uniforms. It will ruin our pursuit of happiness and that’s not fair for us. I think we should let the students vote because we are a good democracy and we have majority rules.
